This lock equipment is used to secure the horizontal stabilizer during removal or installation of the stabilizer trim actuator.The equipment incorporates a fuse and fuse handle, which prevent damage to the airplane structure in the event power is applied to the stabilizer trim actuator with the lock equipment installed. The equipment is designed as a turnbuckle arrangement and is adjustable for fine length adjustments, and is usable with the stabilizer in any position.
