Description of Tool Usage:

This test equipment is used to secure the horizontal stabilizer during removal or installation of the stabilizer trim actuator, and is also used for checking free-play on the ballscrew of the horizontal stabilizer. The equipment incorporates a fuseand fuse handle, which prevent damage to the airplane structure in the event power is applied to the stabilizer trim actuator with the lock equipment installed. The equipment is designed as a turnbuckle arrangement and is adjustable for fine lengthadjustments, and is usable with the stabilizer in any position. The test equipment uses common parts with A55001-19 and -22, but also incorporates a push-pull force gauge required for doing the free-play checks.
